David Brito is a researcher at Instituto Superior Técnico (I.S.T.), from the Technical University of Lisbon. He graduated in Environmental Engineering in 2005, at I.S.T. with the final thesis about Numerical modeling of the wind induced waves in sediment transport in the Tagus Estuary. The interest in modelling coastal areas continued but the definition of the boundary condition (basin input) drove its focus to the watershed as a user and developer. Integrated in the MARETEC watershed team, applied SWAT model and HARP NUT Guidelines to several watersheds and CE-QUAL-W2 model to the reservoirs in order to understand the role of the input loads in eutrophied reservoirs. Is an active developer of MOHID Land model (www.mohid.com) with the special focus in the late time in property transport in porous media and runoff and sediment transport (now in the watershed).
