Karen Terwilliger is President of Terwilliger Consulting Inc., her natural resource conservation company. K Terwilliger worked with regulatory agencies at the national and state levels as well as with non profit and local organizations.
Her current interests and projects include natural resources conservation on private and public land and identification and management of ecologically sensitive resources. She has M.S in ecology and B.S Wildlife Science and extensive experience and training in planning and facilitation including from the Virginia Institute of Environmental Negotiation.
K.Terwilliger has been involved in the development and implementation of state Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategies for multiple U.S. states Department of Natural Resources and Fish and Wildlife Agencies and coordinated a 50 state assessment project. She has developed Environmental Assessments for the National Park Service for National Parks and Seashores.
She has developed Endangered Species Management Plans for private and public landowners including NPS, Department of Defense, and municipalities. She has developed Comprehensive Conservation Plans for the US Fish and Wildlife Service She is the author of 100+ publications including strategic and operational planning documents, technical papers in peer-reviewed journals and national conferences, popular articles, Educational and Marketing publications as well as several books. She is a member of several federal and state Endangered species Recovery Teams and Committees. K Terwilliger is recognized as a regional and national expert in wildlife diversity planning and conservation.
