Antonio Marcomini is full professor of Environmental Chemistry, teaching Environmental impact assessment and Pollution chemistry at the Ca Foscari University of Venice, as well as chairman of the Venice Research Consortium. He is member of SETAC Europe. He has a long-standing experience in the field of Environmental Chemistry and Ecology, author of more than 170 articles published in peer reviewed international journals. He participated/coordinated several international and national large projects. His major research interests include: a) measurements of pollutants in waste waters, natural waters, biological media, sediment, contaminated soils; b) investigations into pollutants environmental behaviour; c) development and application of risk assessment procedures to contaminated sites, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems; d) design and development of decision support tools and systems for risk-based assessment and management of environmental resources.
