I support Award idea as a good start with, hopefully, long tradition. Firstly I thought it might be too early to establish this Award, but at the second glance, why not now and keep going in years to come. Regarding criteria maybe more leading ould be found in Stockholm Water Prize awarded each year in during World Water Week. It is easilly accessible via web.

I am very pleased to be a partner of the selected work group of the SUWAMA Conference. It is a real opportunity to share ideas about sustainable watershed management implementation worldwide.
I reviewed the ecosystem service indicators you sent and find that it covers a very broad category of ecosystem functions and services. However, I dared to suggest some more, as you can see in the color red on your list. I need to do more identifying supporting data requirements. I have doubt on how organize these data? Maybe it needs first to set how to organize them, by country, watershed or ecosystem.
Referring to ACTION ITEM 2, I am able to engage specifically in the following activities:
· To share ideas on watershed indicators and identify associated data needs;
· Test indicators in watershed level policy processes;
· Engage current watershed assessments to capitalize on the scientific and policy analysis expertise gathered for these undertakings.
I renew my interest and commitment to the success of SuMaWa ’13 Conference.
My regards,29 April 2012

I read the key issues of SuWaMa conference in 2013. Topics are very good, especially Global Watershed Sustainability!I believe that helping to watersheds health in the worldwide is one of the main aims of SuWaMa conference participants.   Therefore, inviting main members of international organizations such as UN or UNDP or … is necessary for discussion about Global Watershed Sustainability and conference success in international level. I'm excited about seeing all of frinds at the 2013 International SUWAMA Conference in Hilton Dalaman in Sarigerme.

I think this is a good idea and it is important (you obviously already know this) to develop criteria very carefully.
I have a couple of suggestions.  First, I think rather than a certificate the awarding of this  honor should be a plaque.
These can be made relatively inexpensively here, maybe 25-35 dollars, if expensive in Turkey.
(For subsequent years it could be a "renewal certificate".)  I think renewal period should be 3 years instead of 2, which seems too short to me.
I would expect that SC reviewers who visit the site would have their travel costs paid, but not necessarily pay them for their time, which I think people should be willing to donate.  There should be some publicity about those who get the certification, perhaps a brief note in Water Quality International's magazine.
